About Us:
Teaching surfing is the most rewarding thing we know. Like all teaching, however, it’s not easy. You have to get stuck into the “hows” + “whys” of everything + then explain it in a way that is interesting + funny. There are lots of wonderful people teaching surfing for love or money, all over the world, but there are also some scallywags that just send you in the sea with an unqualified surfer. We don’t think that’s very fair. Being a surfer is very different to being as surf coach. Innocent surf instructors are all qualified BSA surf coaches which means we have, ourselves, been trained + tested in how to teach surfing. We are also certified beach lifeguards, qualified in ocean safety and first aid.
Daily yoga classes with Johnny & Brenton are held in the Rancho at the Jungle Beach House and combine traditional asana to invigorate and strengthen with restorative and yin yoga styles to relax and unwind. Poses that are especially beneficial to surfing, like ones that focus on balance and core strengthening, are also practiced and discussed in detail. This is a great program for both men and woman, from beginners to all levels of yoga.
About the Jungle Beach House
The Jungle Beach House is an amazing group accommodation: Three separate buildings with a total of 8 bedrooms can accommodate up to 20 people. This place is what vacationing in the tropics is all about! The Jungle Beach House has its own private path to the beach (1 min. walk - we are as close as you can get to the beach in Playa Guiones) so falling asleep to the sounds of surf is a definite. This large property is very private, lushly landscaped and has a swimming pool as well as plenty of parking.
The living area is mostly in the oldest building, the Rancho, a rustic rancho open to the outdoors. 
It has 2 bedrooms, a livingroom, two dining areas, and a kitchen. There is also the Pool House which contains two bedrooms (mirror images of each other) that is adjacent to the large pool. Finally, there is the Main House which has 4 bedrooms, including a master suite, and is all A/C. The upstairs bedrooms open out to a rustic balcony.
Retreat includes 5 day week maid service (including laundry on Tuesdays and Fridays) and our staff will cook breakfast and lunch. In addition to being just a few steps along its own path to the best beach, Playa Guiones, it is also just a short walk to several restaurants…Casa Romantica, Gilded Iguana, Kaya Sol and Giardino Tropical. Both the Super Mini Market and the Frog Pad/NosaraNet (DVD/book rentals & internet cafe) are also just a short walk away: on-site, TV with DVD player and telephone. WiFi available!
How to get to Nosara
Nosara is just over a 2-hour drive from the airport at Liberia, served by Delta, American, US Air and Continental. Delta has added a direct flight from Los Angeles to Liberia, departing on Fridays and returning on Saturdays. The package includes transfers from Liberia or Nosara airport on February 22 & February 28, and we will assist with your transportation if you arrive on other days…

The airport at Liberia, Costa Rica is served by Delta, American, US Air and Continental. Delta has added a direct flight from Los Angeles to Liberia around the weekend.
